New Courses, New tutor!
Painting on Mondays (Portfolio Expansion sessions)- using experimental techniques and playing with materials to create fresh, exciting work, to help remember what it is you love about painting!
The intention of these studio classes is to help you with your own work , whether continuing work made in your studio or at home ,making new work, getting unstuck , or getting started again in your creative process with something new.
Everyone works differently so I can help you make work that is more authentic to you and
I will give you processes and ways of working to help you achieve what you want .
This will be exciting , creative and fun and completely expanding !
There will be time spent experimenting with different paints and materials . Seeing how they react together and what it is like painting on different surfaces ,large and small (paper, canvas and boards.)
I will provide books and images of lots of different artists to look at , this all helps with learning and inspiration.
The studio is in a great location next to the river and the woods , so the surrounding nature is a great subject matter to work with.
You will need to bring your own materials and paints . Paintings and work that you are currently working on or just bring ideas !
These days will run on Mondays 10 - 4.30 and will cost £50
Or half days at £25

Helen is a practicing artist with a wealth of experience in painting, exhibiting and teaching to a very high level. She is well known for balancingher playful approach with a sense of integrity. She is very hands on with her teaching and getting involved in the processes, taking risks. You will be pushed hard, but gently encouraged and supported to become the best artist you can become. This course is all about finding new and exciting ways of communicating nature through drawing and then developing these ideas into your studio practice. It will be experimental, fun, creative and challenging!
Who? Helen loves working with mixed ability groups of ages from students to octogenarians!
